DUGI OTOK
Dugi otok is the largest island of Zadar's archipelago. It was named Dugi otok (Long island) for it's unusual geographic form. It's over 45 km long, and it's widest around Sali area, only 5 km. Close to the village Savar the island is just 1 km wide.
The climat is mediterranean – the summers are long and warm, and winters are mild. For it's natural beauty, extremly well-indented coastline with numerous protected bays and untouched nature it presents an attractive paradise for adventurists, families, divers and nautical tourists.
Sali – place on Dugi otok, the nearest port for the National park Kornati and for the Nature park Telašcica which occupies the south side of the island.
